Who are we?
The Physician Hospital Alignment for Central Oregon (PHA) represents a group of 480-plus physicians and providers who are committed to building a sustainable health system based on the three core values of what the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) calls The Triple Aim:
- Improving population health
- Reducing per capita cost
- Improving the patient experience
Recognizing that the cost and quality of health care in the U.S. varies dramatically by region, the PHA envisions a model for a physician-led health care system that places heavy emphasis on patient-centered care, clinical information systems and the practice of evidence-based medicine. Signaling its support for the physicians' endeavor, the St. Charles Health System's board of directors adopted in 2009 a statement of commitment to co-create the system.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to be a unified, principles-based group of physicians that works with St. Charles Health System and other partners to build a physician-directed, community-based health care system in Central Oregon that will improve the health of our community, enhance the patient care experience and reduce or control the cost of care.
